Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Edison, NJ — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $29.87 Per Hour
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Sign-on Bonus: $1500 after 30 days and $1500 after 90 days

  - Friday, 5:00 AM - 6:00 AM start time

• Route: SOLOTo: NY (Manhattan, 5 Boroughs)

• Trailer Types: 48' Flatbed, 26' Straight Truck, 48' - 53' Dry Van
• Equipment:
  Electric and Manual Pallet Jack
• Ryder will train on all required equipment

  Minimum 6 months of Flatbed Experience

• 80 hours PTO in first year, starting Day 1

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical
  
  Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle (minimum 9 months within past 3 years, 2 years within last 5 years, or 5 years within last 10 years)
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
