School Bus/Van Driver

Anticipated Start 9/1/2026

TERMS:

• Part Time position
• CDL Drivers $35 per hour and non-CDL Drivers $25.
• Not eligible for benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely transport students to and from designated schools, programs, or activities using a district-owned, non-CDL vehicle.
• Adhere to all district, state, and federal transportation policies and safety regulations.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during transit.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records as required (mileage, trip logs, student attendance during transport, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid New Jersey driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of and ability to comply with all student transportation safety practices.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to maintain professional conduct with students and staff.
• Completion of School Bus Driver and Aide Training for Interacting with Students with Special Needs.
• Criminal history background checks required. (CHR, CARI, and MVR as applicable)
