Medical Supply Delivery and Installation Technician

Job Summary

Medical Supply Delivery and Installation Technician, Depot (Operations), Full‑Time Equivalent. You will perform and control a combination of manual and automated actions necessary for receiving, storage, and delivery of medical equipment to hospital and home locations. Your responsibilities include delivering equipment, installing and troubleshooting technology, maintaining delivery vehicles, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Shift

Schedule:

36 to 40 hours per week, 4 to 5 days per week, including at least one weekend day. Shift hours can start as early as 7am and generally end between 7pm and 9pm on weekdays, and start as early as 8am and end between 6pm and 8pm on weekends and holidays.

• Deliver medical equipment using company transit van (non‑CDL) to hospital customer locations, primarily the homes of hospital patients, and notify delivery status.
• Show empathy and compassion for customers/patients in every situation.
• Load and unload packages and products from vehicles to the home.
• Perform minor technical installation and de‑installation in the home; troubleshoot technology as required.
• Maintain vehicles in proper working condition, cleanliness; perform minor maintenance tasks and roadside repairs.
• Utilize handheld tablets for navigation and reporting status changes and inventory updates.
• Ensure safe work practices and support depot personnel with safe, efficient equipment and vehicles.
• Provide a culture of continuous improvement in operations, environmental, health and safety.
• Ensure quality service to customers and prompt follow‑through on customer correspondence, complaints and inquiries related to shipment of medical products and stock‑on‑hand.
• Conduct equipment cleaning procedures at the depot as volume demands require.
• Complete required training and maintain compliance with OSHA, DEA, FDA, State and local authorities.
• Support and contribute to innovative process modifications to improve service quality.
• Comply with required vaccinations and background checks.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; equivalent work experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Prior delivery driving experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift containers up to 75 pounds.
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours.
• Able to sit, stand, and operate a vehicle for extended periods.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts or overtime as needed.
• Ability to use computers and tablets, and conduct minor technology installation and troubleshooting.
• Healthcare experience beneficial.
• Required to use a respirator (e.g., N‑95 mask) and receive vaccinations (Influenza, MMR, HepatitisB) unless a legitimate accommodation is provided.

• Apply acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
• Readily learn and apply new information and methods in the assigned area.
• Maintain appropriate licenses, training, vaccinations, and certifications.
• Work on routine assignments that require some problem resolution.
• Adhere to all quality guidelines and standard operating procedures.
• Work under moderate supervision; routine output review by supervisor.
• Refer complex or unusual problems to supervisor.
• Act as a team player and support colleagues in the depot environment.
