Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver

Somerset, NJ – $17.50/hr – Part Time

Monday/Friday, 6:30am - 4:00pm

Tuesday, 7:30am - 4:00pm

This position involves long distance driving within the state of New Jersey.

• Drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x‑rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials in a company‑owned vehicle.
• Operate a hand‑held scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle.
• Strictly observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction.
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre‑post‑trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly vehicle.
• Perform route duties that may change based on client and business needs; must be able to work all assigned routes.
• Embody teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Build and nurture a collaborative Med Speed team culture.

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Familiarity with and willingness to work with technology.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Pass initial and random drug & alcohol screening.
• Drive a non‑commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent driving history.
• Must possess proof of COVID‑19 vaccination depending on location and mandates.
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to lift items off storage racks.
• Must be comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods.
