Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Job OverviewThe Lumper will be responsible for unloading, sorting, and staging goods from incoming trucks. This position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the warehouse and distribution center.
Key ResponsibilitiesUnload & Load Trucks:
Assist with unloading goods from inbound trucks and loading goods onto outbound trucks in a safe and efficient manner.Organize and Sort Inventory:
Sort products by category, size, and type, and place them in the appropriate storage locations in the warehouse.Stacking & Palletizing:
Properly stack and palletize merchandise, ensuring that products are safely secured for storage or shipment.Quality Control:
Inspect goods for damage and report any issues to management.Maintain Safety Standards:
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.Assist in Inventory Management:
Support the team in regular stock checks and inventory audits.Housekeeping:
Keep work areas clean and organized, removing debris and ensuring safe walking surfaces.Collaborate with Team:
Work alongside other warehouse staff, including material handlers, forklift operators, and supervisors, to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.Other duties as assigned:
Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed to ensure operational needs are met.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform tasks that require physical stamina and movement.Experience:
Previous warehouse or labor experience is preferred but not required.Skills:
Basic knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and equipment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Work Environment:
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures depending on the warehouse conditions.Shift Flexibility:
Must be willing to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
This position requires some manual labor during periods of downtime, which may involve lifting and moving inventory manually
Candidates must be comfortable with physical work and manual handling responsibilities
