Warehouse Forklift Operator

Position Summary

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Port Reading, New Jersey. The role offers hourly pay of $20.00 and a weekly schedule Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:30pm.

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, and stage products and load/unload trucks.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core production hours.
• Work within performance measurement guidelines of the contract and perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a diverse environment.
• High attention to detail, reliability, and punctuality.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Capacity to maintain health and safety practices and adapt to a flexible schedule.
