Summary
Energy Transfer is looking for a Associate Accountant - Plant to join our Midstream Revenue accounting team. We encourage a culture of inquiry by always asking why, transforming data into meaningful information, and leveraging technology to streamline our processes
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Calculate liquid and gas settlements for the generation of producer payments on assigned facilities
- Manage all aspects of accounts receivable aging relating to specific assets
- Process monthly journal entries and prepare/analyze monthly gross margin reports
- Track monthly imbalances by validating measurement volumes against scheduled volumes and against pipeline imbalance statements
- Process and distribute various statements to the appropriate counter parties
- Assist customers with settlement related inquiries
- Support internal/external audits and regulatory reporting requirements
- Consistently fulfills commitments, maintains transparency, and meets deadlines effectively
- Works well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, responding to change with professionalism and a positive solution-oriented attitude
- Significant level of personal accountability and ownership to identify and addresses issues with minimal oversight, and suggests innovative solutions for process improvement
- Embraces and adapts to changes with enthusiasm, contributing to a culture of innovation and efficiency
- Takes initiative to learn various systems and processes
- Exhibits a strong sense of ownership and resolves issues, including coordinating with other teams/functions as needed and communicates effectively
- Cultivates and maintains productive relationships with internal counterparts to enhance process improvements that are in the best interest of the company
- Navigates stressful situations professionally, aiming for optimal outcomes
- Accepts feedback professionally and translates it into positive changes in behavior and performance
- The Associate level requires a bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant job-related experience
- The Accountant level requires a bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job-related experience
- The Senior Accountant level requires a bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of relevant job-related experience
- The Lead Accountant level requires a bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant job-related experience
- Knowledge of midstream and/or oil and gas industry accounting desired
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Position requires teamwork, detail-oriented, organizational skills and good communication skills

- Usually, normal office working conditions
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
