An established independent CPA firm in Edmond OK is looking for a Senior Accountant who wants more variety, stronger client relationships, and closer access to experienced professionals.

The firm has a team of around 15 people, giving you the visibility and involvement of a smaller practice without leaving you to figure everything out alone.

You will work directly with Partners and senior accountants, build genuine relationships with clients, and continue developing across both accounting and tax.

Rather than becoming increasingly narrow in one area, you will build the range of skills that can make you a more confident, commercially aware, and well rounded accountant.

A role where you can see the whole client relationship

You will prepare financial statements, support year end accounting work, handle individual and business tax compliance, and communicate directly with clients throughout the process.

That means you will understand more than one part of the engagement.

You will see how the accounting work connects to the tax position, how client questions are handled, and how trusted relationships are built over time.

• Prepare financial statements and support clients with their ongoing accounting needs.
• Work with a varied portfolio of business and individual clients.
• Prepare and support tax compliance for Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S.
• Assist with year end accounting and tax preparation.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information and resolve routine questions.
• Work closely with Partners and senior colleagues on client matters.
• Help maintain strong standards of accuracy, responsiveness, and client service across the practice.

• Public accounting experience across accounting and tax compliance.
• Experience working with both individual and business tax returns.
• Someone who enjoys building relationships with clients.
• Strong attention to detail and a practical, organised approach.
• The confidence to communicate clearly and ask questions when needed.
• Someone who values the variety and collaboration found within an independent CPA firm.
• CPA, EA, or progress toward either qualification would be welcomed, but is not essential.
