Position Overview
This is a Federal Work Study Program (FWSP) student clerical position in the Adult Education and Safety Sciences (AESS) department. The student will perform computer and customer service-related duties in an office setting.
Hours per Week20‑25 hours per week, maximum, during fall and spring semesters.
DutiesThe responsibilities include:
- Typing and filing documents
- Answering telephones and providing customer service
- Scheduling appointments
- Using Microsoft Office applications
Students must meet the following enrollment criteria:
- All student employees must be enrolled at least half‑time for fall and spring semesters (5 credit hours for graduates, 6 for undergraduates).
- International students must be enrolled full‑time (9 credit hours for graduates, 12 for undergraduates).
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours and graduate students in a minimum of 5 credit hours to work in FWSP positions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Sensitivity to intercultural communication.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Dependable.
- Punctual.
