Position SummaryThe Lead Technician uses technical expertise to diagnose driving and electrical systems and leads a team to improve customer care and satisfaction.
Pay Range$21.69 – $41.95 per hour, paid on a flat‑rate basis.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air‑conditioning, and computer systems to specifications.
- Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑mechanical clients.
- Participate in continuous paid formal training and stay current with emerging automotive technology.
- Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
- Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least five of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment.
- Valid automobile driver's license at all times and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Skilled in brake diagnosis/repair.
- Skilled in alignment, steering, and suspension diagnosis/repair.
- Skilled in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
- Current federal, state, and local certifications/licenses where applicable.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical persons; strong reading, writing, and math skills.
- Strong understanding of one or more of the following: electrical/electronic systems, engine repair, engine performance, automatic transmission/transaxle, manual drivetrain/transmission, automotive heating/AC.
- 5 years of automotive repair experience, demonstrated via third‑party assessments or certifications, or completion of a vocational‑technical school program.
- A.S.E. certification in at least three of A1–A8 (L1 may be one of the three – Brakes and Steering & Suspension); A.S.E. certifications preferred.
- Medical, Dental and Vision – starting day1 for all teammates.
