Collision Estimator
Bob Howard Collision Center is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Collision Estimator to join our team. The Collision Estimator serves as the primary point of contact for customers and insurance partners throughout the repair process. This position is responsible for inspecting vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, coordinating with technicians and insurance companies, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from intake through delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess strong automotive repair knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the collision center's performance objectives.
Responsibilities- Inspect damaged vehicles and perform thorough damage analyses.
- Prepare complete and accurate repair estimates using estimating software such as CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex.
- Review repair requirements and develop comprehensive repair plans.
- Communicate with insurance adjusters to negotiate and approve repairs.
- Explain repair processes, timelines, and costs to customers.
- Monitor repair progress and update customers throughout the repair lifecycle.
- Identify supplemental damage and prepare supplemental estimates as necessary.
- Coordinate with technicians, parts departments, and production staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Verify all repairs align with OEM procedures and safety standards.
- Maintain proper documentation of estimates, approvals, photos, and repair records.
- Conduct vehicle check-ins and assist with final quality inspections.
- Ensure customer concerns are addressed professionally and promptly.
- Support collision center sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and dealership standards
- Monday
-Friday 7:30-5:30 and every 5th Saturday - Minimum 2 years of collision estimating experience preferred.
- Knowledge of collision repair methods, vehicle construction, and repair procedures.
- Experience working with insurance companies and DRP programs.
- Proficiency with collision estimating software (CCC ONE preferred).
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple repair files simultaneously
