Archer Western Construction is currently seeking a Common Laborer for the Central Water Group
/I-35 Storage Tanks
, in Edmond, OK
.

The Common Laborer will perform tasks involving physical labor on construction jobsites, including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects; may operate hand and/or power tools as needed; may prepare the site and assist with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ability to perform tasks including physical labor as instructed by a supervisor
• Ability to work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills, hammers, and other tools as directed by management
• Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches
• Load and unload construction supplies around the worksite manually and with the use of equipment

• 1 year verifiable construction experience preferred
• Requires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffolds/ladders
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Requires good manual dexterity; may involve standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
