Key Responsibilities
• Perform all Laborer I and Laborer II responsibilities
• Safely and efficiently operate skid steers, mini excavators, compactors, and other approved support equipment
• Assist with finish grading, layout, and production activities
• Demonstrate strong understanding of site operations, grade awareness, and project sequencing
• Coordinate daily labor activities under the direction of the Foreman
• Mentor and train Laborer I and II team members
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency
• Maintain equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
• Serve as a role model for Blue Sage Services' safety culture
• Demonstrate leadership, accountability, and initiative
• Be capable of filling in as Crew Lead to assist the foreman in their absence
• Continue developing skills necessary for Equipment Operator promotion
Qualifications & Requirements
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Significant heavy civil construction experience
• Proven success as a Laborer II or equivalent experience
• Proficient operation of skid steer, mini excavator, and similar equipment
• Strong understanding of grading concepts, utility installation, and field operations
• Ability to mentor and develop other employees
• Demonstrated leadership potential
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
Work Environment & Schedule
• Field-based position with travel required depending on project location
•
Typical schedule:
Monday–Friday with overtime as needed
• Work hours may vary based on project demands and timelines
