Position Overview
This is a regular student clerical position in which the student will perform computer and customer service-related duties in an office setting. Typical duties may include but are not limited to typing, filing, answering telephones, customer service, scheduling appointments, and Microsoft Office experience.
Hours per weekVaries, not to exceed 25 hours per week.
College/Department OverviewPhotographic Arts is a department within Mass Communications. The Department of Mass Communication has various student and professional organizations that both support and help Photographic Arts majors develop skills to advance their learning.
Department Specific Job FunctionsUnder the direction of the Photographic Arts Facilities Coordinator, the facilities monitor will run the gallery, studio, darkroom, and office during open hours.
Enrollment Requirements- Fall/Spring Semesters
:
All student employees must be enrolled at least half‑time to be eligible to work any UCO student position. Half‑time enrollment for fall/spring semesters is considered 5 credit hours for graduates and 6 for undergraduates. International students must be enrolled full‑time. Full‑time enrollment is 9 credit hours for graduates and 12 for undergraduates. - Summer Semester

Students working regular positions must be in at least 3 credit hours. Those not enrolled in summer classes must be enrolled in fall classes to work in summer; the department will be required to pay FICA taxes. Students working FWSP positions must be in a minimum of 6 credit hours (undergraduate) or 5 (graduate). - Enrollment Exception

If the number of credit hours needed to graduate is less than the minimum required for employment, the student must provide a letter from their Academic Advisor stating the needed hours and anticipated graduation date and submit it to Human Resources. This applies to both regular and FWSP positions. Contact jobs for more information.
Must have completed or currently enrolled in Basic Photography & Darkroom Photography classes.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities- Knowledge of Photoshop, darkroom techniques, and photo lighting are recommended.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must handle confidential information in a professional and ethical manner.
- Must be willing to clean and paint regularly.
