We are seeking a skilled Architectural Drafter to join our incredible team! As a Drafter at McGregor Homes you participate in helping create designs for our award-winning luxury homes and collaborate with an enthusiastic and closely-knit team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating custom floor plans for our unique luxury homes as well as technical detail drawings, elevations, take-offs and making edits or modifications to existing portfolio plans.
A keen eye for design and well-rounded architectural experience will be of strong importance in this role. Prior experience designing architectural plans is required. All applicants will be asked to submit previous portfolio work. During our initial screening candidates will also be asked to produce a unique sample specific to this role as part of the interview process.
- Create new plans and designs/edit existing plans using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Chief Architect, Softplan or Revit
- Collaborate with our team to understand project requirements and specifications
- Prepare accurate schematics, details, elevations and potentially take-offs based on project needs
- Review and revise drawings as necessary to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and design preferences
- Incorporate changes and modifications into existing drawings as directed by the team
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and reports
- Maintain organized files and records of all drawings and related documents
- Site visits to confirm accuracy of progress in the field
- Proven experience as a Drafter or similar role
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Chief Architect, Softplan or Revit
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and techniques
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret technical specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Pay$55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year (Depending on experience)
