GSL Education are currently seeking a committed and resilient PSHE Teacher to work within a specialist SEND college in Lincoln
, supporting students with Autism (ASD) and SEMH needs
.
This full-time role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about supporting young people to develop the personal, social and emotional skills they need to thrive in education, employment and independent life.
The Role:As a PSHE Teacher, you will deliver engaging, meaningful and accessible lessons tailored to learners with additional needs. Topics may include:
Emotional wellbeing and mental health
Social communication and relationship skills
Citizenship and personal responsibility
Health education and life skills
Preparing students for adulthood, independence and work
Teaching will be highly differentiated, relationship-led and trauma-informed, with a strong focus on supporting students’ social and emotional development.
The Ideal Candidate :Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification (preferred)
Experience teaching or supporting students with ASD and/or SEMH
Confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent manner
Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
A patient, adaptable and empathetic approach to teaching
