Position Description
The SRA Site Tutor provides targeted reading support to students in small-group settings. This position works closely with classroom teachers to implement provided instructional plans and resources, with the goal of strengthening foundational reading skills and supporting student growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide small-group reading instruction and interventions using materials and plans provided by the classroom teacher
* Support students with additional practice in literacy skills such as phonics, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary
* Follow instructional plans while demonstrating flexibility to meet student needs
* Maintain a positive, supportive learning environment
* Communicate with students in a professional, encouraging manner
* Collaborate with teachers and school staff as needed
* Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Knowledge of basic reading instruction and intervention strategies
* Ability to work effectively with students in a small-group setting
* Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to read, understand, and follow instructional plans
* Flexibility and adaptability in a school setting
* Dependable, organized, and student-focused
Compensation
* $25.00 per hour
