Regular Student Clerical - Orientation

Position Overview

Regular student clerical position serving as “UCO Orientation Leader.” The role involves welcoming new students to campus, leading small groups, guiding them around campus, and completing other duties as assigned.

Up to 10-15 hours per week.

• Maintain good academic standing to retain the Orientation Leader position.
• Maintain full‑time enrollment during the Spring and Fall semesters unless graduating that semester.
• Participate in the Orientation Leader Retreat and training classes.
• Be punctual to all Orientation Leader meetings, trainings, or job responsibilities.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner both on and off campus in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
• Wear and abide by the Orientation Leader dress code as designed by the supervisor.
• Actively participate in the Forge Orientation program and complete assigned tasks (small‑group activities, directional guides, enrolling guides, etc.).
• Affiliated with Greek organization during orientation but promote unity and help incoming students find the best fit.
• Return all Orientation gear/uniform to the supervisors if terminated.
• Stay in assigned rooms during Orientation programs.

Fall/Spring Semesters: All student employees must be enrolled at least half‑time to be eligible to work any UCO student position. Half‑time enrollment is 5 credits for graduates and 6 credits for undergraduates. International students must be enrolled full‑time (9 credits for graduates and 12 credits for undergraduates).

Enrollment Exception: If the number of credit hours needed to graduate is less than the minimum required for student employment, the student must obtain a letter from their Academic Advisor (stating the number of hours needed to graduate and anticipated graduation date) and submit it to Human Resources.

A valid driver's license is required.
