Psychology, Behavior Analysis - Full-Time, Tenure-Track Assistant Professor
The Department of Psychology at the University of Central Oklahoma invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to be filled by a behavior analyst who has an earned doctorate and experience using evidence-based psychological practices in their clinical or experimental work.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Teaching undergraduate courses in psychology with an emphasis on behavior analysis and in our Behavior Analysis master's program. The teaching load is 12 credit hours each fall and spring semester. Instruction in courses may require a variety of formats (face-to-face, hybrid, and online) and teaching day and evening courses on rotation.
- Willingness to serve and advance the Behavior Analysis master's program including actively pursuing ABAI (Association for Behavior Analysis International) accreditation for a master's level program.
- Conducting scholarly work related to ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), engaging, supporting, and mentoring student research, and chairing or serving on master's thesis committees.
Qualifications/Experience
Required:
An earned doctorate degree awarded by a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, or a related area (exceptions require Academic Affairs approval). The candidate should have a current BCBA or BCBA-D certification (Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Doctoral-level certification) and be eligible for license as a Licensed Behavior Analyst in Oklahoma.
NOTE:
ABDs (all-but-dissertation) may apply, but if the doctorate is not obtained and submitted by the time of employment, the position rank will change to Tenure Track-Instructor.
Qualifications/Experience Preferred:
Teaching experience in higher education and experience developing and delivering online courses using learning management systems. Ability to provide high-quality mentorship to undergraduate and graduate students and a record of scholarship. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Training and research in learning and behavior, behavior analysis, and experimental psychology. Ability to mentor and advise students in behavior analytic research and practice areas.
