Position Summary: Oklahoma Christian University is seeking applications for a Nursing Adjunct
- On-campus, Mental Health. This part-time faculty position will teach assigned nursing courses within the Mental Health discipline. This is in-person, on-campus position. Adjunct appointments are made on a semester-by-semester basis and typically include one to two courses, with the potential for recurring assignments.

Qualified candidates generally hold a master’s degree in nursing or a related discipline, along with relevant clinical or professional experience. Candidates with terminal degrees or specialized training are highly preferred. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis due to frequent and short-notice staffing needs.

Teaching Responsibilities
  • Instruct students in the classroom
  • Evaluates student performance and maintain department and student records per university policies.
  • Adheres to the educational philosophy of the university.
  • Works in a collaborative manner with colleagues and professional peers.
  • Provides a quality learning experience for students.
  • Performs instruction-related duties and responsibilities promptly.
  • Complete all documents/surveys for program assessment
  • Complete all orientation modules required for successful online and clinical learning
  • Participate in professional development commensurate with program needs
  • Engage in scholarly/creative activities
  • Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required and current, unencumbered Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Active member of a local church and committed to the mission and Christian values of Oklahoma Christian University.
  • Demonstrated teaching and instructional skills in undergraduate nursing education and clinical settings.
  • Strong oral, written, interpersonal, and student engagement skills.
  • Proficiency with online learning platforms and educational technology.
  • Ability to assess student learning needs and adapt instruction accordingly.
  • Ability to meet clinical agency requirements, including immunizations and annual compliance documentation.
  • Sufficient physical health and mobility to teach in classroom, clinical, and laboratory environments.
