SLP Adjunct Clinical Supervisor - College of Education and Professional Studies

Position Overview

Adjunct positions at UCO are part‑time teaching positions. The Adjunct faculty provides a quality learning experience for students on a semester basis. Adjunct faculty reports to a dean or chair and performs instruction‑related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the college. The relationship of the adjunct faculty member to the student is one of teacher and facilitator of learning.

SLP Adjunct Clinical Supervisors provide oversight of speech‑language clinical service provision by student clinicians. The Clinical Supervisor will guide the student clinician in providing evidence‑based treatment, effective clinical practice, signing completed treatment documentation such as response recording, semester and daily plans, reports, and summaries, as well as, providing clinician feedback and evaluation. The SLP Adjunct Clinical Supervisor will instruct, counsel, and guide the student clinician in evidence‑based treatment.

The Supervisor is responsible for meeting with assigned students throughout the semester and maintaining office hours.

• Possesses a master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
• Must have a minimum of two‑years of post‑CFY experience in SLP therapy provision and possess a current ASHA certification of clinical competency (CCC) and an Oklahoma state license.
• Possesses excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.

Clinical mentoring or supervision experience.

Repetitive movement of hands and fingers – typing and/or writing. Frequent standing, and/or sitting. Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling or crouching. Reach with hands and arms.
