High School History Teacher

Job Summary:

This position reports to and is evaluated by the High School Principal. The High School Classroom Teacher prayerfully helps students learn subject matter, skills, and behavior that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women to the praise and glory of God.

Required Professional Qualities Bachelor’s degree in secondary education or related field; or willingness to participate in a program to complete such a degree within a specified period.

ACSI or state teaching certificate

Demonstrate a reasonable level of computer literacy. Basic proficiency is needed in word processing, e-mailing, and accessing the internet.

Possess evidence of other adequate preparation, background, or experience as determined by the school administrator.

Academic Leadership Have knowledge and understanding of the Christian philosophy of education that will enable him/her to provide leadership and guidance in the school’s development of and commitment to a biblical worldview.

Integrate biblical principles and worldview throughout the curriculum and activities

Know about the physical/emotional development of children, particularly at the age level of the children being taught, and understand the problems they face.
