The University of Central Oklahoma School of Design invites applications for a Full-time, Non-Tenure Track, Assistant Professor in Graphic Design.
This position will include academic responsibilities at a School of Design offering B.F.A. degrees in Graphic and Interior Design.
UCO Design seeks dynamic and motivated candidates with a high level of creative industry, social engagement, and commitment to department participation.
Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate expertise in drawing/illustration and graphic design, with knowledge and experience in several of the following areas:
- Foundational hand and digital skills
- Drawing and illustration techniques
- Industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Procreate)
- Print and digital production techniques, technologies, and file management
- Typography
- Brand design
- Video and/or motion graphics
- Interaction design (UI/UX)
Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate courses in Design Foundations, Computer Graphics, Typography, Branding, UI/UX, Illustration, and other graphic design courses as needed.
