Edmond, OK
$130,000 to $160,000
At some stage, the question changes.
It is no longer
“Is this a good firm?”
It becomes
“Could I see myself leading something like this one day?”
This independent firm in Edmond (OK) has built something steady. Loyal clients. Recurring revenue. A team that stays. Growth that has been measured and intentional.
The Owner is not hiring someone to simply review work and keep the wheels turning. They are thinking about the long term future of the firm.
As Senior Tax Manager, you would sit at the centre of the tax and accounting function. You would work closely with leadership, oversee complex review and planning work, and act as a trusted adviser to long standing clients.
But you would also have visibility.
You would see how the firm runs commercially.
You would influence systems and workflow.
You would be part of conversations about direction, structure, and growth.
For the right person, there is a clear path toward equity and eventual succession. Not a casual comment. A real discussion, with defined expectations tied to leadership, client ownership, and performance.
What you will be doing- Leading and reviewing complex individual, partnership, and corporate engagements
- Driving year round tax planning and advisory projects
- Supporting key clients with accounting oversight when needed
- Managing workflow consistently through busy season
- Mentoring staff and reinforcing a strong, professional culture
- Strengthening long term client relationships through practical advice
A CPA with strong public accounting experience.
Confident at review level and comfortable leading client conversations.
Someone who values stability but still wants influence.
Someone thinking beyond compliance and toward firm leadership.
On timingIf you are supporting your current firm through busy season, that is respected. Many senior professionals are having conversations now with a view to starting after 4/15. It allows for a professional transition and a steady summer onboarding before the fall deadlines.
If you want your next move to feel like a step toward leadership rather than just another title, this is well worth a confidential discussion.
