Job Summary

The purpose of this job is to perform a variety of responsibilities related to the processing and administration of loans, and daily balancing of loan and credit card accounts.

Qualifications
  • Two to five years of experience working in a financial institution
  • Two years of experience working with loans
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Requires thorough knowledge of credit administration policies and procedures
  • Requires thorough knowledge of the loan documentation and security interests
  • Requires good working knowledge of SBA monthly reporting and loan management reporting
  • Strong leadership skills with effective communication skills
  • Very detail oriented with good organizational skills
  • Computer literate
  • Commitment to policy and regulatory adherence.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to accept challenges and opportunities.
Essential Job Functions
  • Performs a variety of responsibilities related to loan processing, credit card processing and loan administration.
  • Understand how loan parameters, payments, debits and credits affect the bank’s general ledger.
  • Maintain clean and organized electronic loan files.
  • Responsible for daily balancing of loan and credit card accounts.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting of SBA loans.
  • Records liens and releases with county, state and other government agencies as needed.
  • Originates and processes loan coupons, deferrals and customer requested loan research.
  • Provides assistance to customers and bank personnel with questions regarding collateral, payment information, payment history, etc. both in person and over the telephone.
  • Accepts and posts loan payment and credit card payments.
  • Responsible for setting-up and maintaining charged off and shadow loans.
  • Imaging loan documentation within the bank’s electronic filing platform.
  • Performs annual escrow analysis and monthly disbursements.
  • Administer loan data in compliance with pre-approved loan terms and according to loan policy and regulations.
  • Assists in tracking and maintaining loan exceptions.
  • Assists in document preparation and quality review of new and renewed loans.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and directed by management.

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily at a desk with regular contact with employees and customers, in person and on the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands

The employee is required to sit at a desk for the majority of the shift. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens.
