Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Job Summary:
Under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor/preceptor, this entry-level position works to achieve the initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations. The role supports medical staff in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring simple to complex conditions, defects, and diseases.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited educational program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty as defined by the ARDMS.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or higher.
Additional Information:
- Must meet applicant eligibility requirements and published standards for ARDMS in the cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty required by the hiring department.
- Core knowledge and understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies, and terminology associated with the primary specialty.
- Ability to work as part of a team, follow instructions, and maintain accurate records.
- Skill in applying principles of cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology, medical imaging, medical terminology, and positioning of patients.
- Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information and demonstrate sound judgment.
