** SUMMARY
* * The Hotel Assistant Manager supports all aspects of hotel operations, including the hotel’s financial performance, staff management, and exceptional Guest service. This role assists the Hotel Manager by providing operational leadership and supporting strategic planning to maximize room occupancy, improve revenues, and increase Guest satisfaction. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the organization’s policies and procedures, tribal regulations, and all federal/state laws, as needed.
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
** 1. All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa’s Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outlined in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, SOP’s, and any other related training.
2. Support an exceptional level of service and satisfaction throughout the properties, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner.
3. Assist in overseeing all operational functions of the hotel and support staff training in OSHA-required safety protocols, Guest service standards, and monthly/quarterly objectives.
4. Support regular briefings and meetings with all Team Members to assist in ensuring full compliance to hotel operations, policies, procedures, and service standards.
5. Assist in creating an environment that assures Guest Satisfaction and prompt resolution to inquiries or concerns.
6. Support monitoring of hotel performance through verification and analysis of Guest satisfaction systems and financial reports.
7. Assist in preparing financial reports for management that clearly explain operational effectiveness, trends, and variances.
8. Support the execution of marketing, sales, and operational activities, producing results that meet or exceed the hotel’s business plan.
9. Assist in understanding and applying government regulations affecting hotel operations, ensuring the hotel is operated in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations, and requirements of any federal authority.
10. Support positive relations with the public, Guests, and Team Members with professional courtesy and respect.
11. Assist in monitoring Guest satisfaction regarding hotel stay and communicate survey data, continuous improvement plans, and hotel performance to the Hotel Manager or Director of Hospitality.
12. Support the development and maintenance of each department’s budget and assist in monitoring the flow of revenue and expenditures.
13. Assist in ensuring correct staffing levels according to business needs that are not exceeded without prior consultation.
14. Support review of all guest complaints/comments in person, online, or via comment cards and assist in planning corrective actions.
15. Assist in establishing budgetary goals based on the hotel’s financial analysis forecast.
16. Support Group Reservations and assist with accurate, timely coordination regarding the Group’s needs.
17. Assist in closely monitoring the hotel’s business daily and support decision-making accordingly.
18. Support efforts to maximize room yield and hotel revenue through innovative sales practices and revenue software.
19. Assist with direct billing accounts, posting payments, auditing payroll timecards, reporting tips, and absences to Human Resources and payroll.
20. Support the hotel’s representation in public affairs to help build strong working relationships with the community.
21. Assist in reviewing night audit reports daily to help ensure proper tracking of hotel revenue.
22. Support attendance at Chamber of Commerce, local hotel association, and other meetings or functions on a regular basis to assist in building networking opportunities and representing the hotel’s interest in local issues.
23. Assist in developing standards of service and job performance for each hotel department and support progress monitoring.
