Epic Analyst II – Beaker AP, Department: IT Care Delivery Applications

This position may be performed remotely from Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. Candidates must live and work full-time in one of these states or plan to relocate before employment begins. Locations are subject to change.

This role may be filled as an EHR Application Analyst II or III, depending on qualifications including education, experience and certifications.

Responsibilities include developing, supporting and rolling out an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, advising IT team members and optimizing workflow processes through tailored applications. The Analyst applies knowledge of healthcare business workflows to implement systems that meet process needs.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for resolving complex technical issues and system errors, using advanced troubleshooting techniques and problem‑solving skills to ensure timely resolution and minimal disruption to patient care.
  • Provide day‑to‑day technical support to end‑users, troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and resolving system errors to ensure uninterrupted use of the EHR system.
  • Guide other team members and perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patches and upgrades, to ensure stability and security of the EHR system.
  • Coordinate testing and validation activities for system changes, enhancements and upgrades; follow pre‑defined change‑management processes to ensure new features meet functional requirements and do not introduce unintended consequences.
  • Lead efforts to optimize performance and usability of the EHR system, leveraging deep knowledge of system functionalities and user workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate collaborative efforts with cross‑functional teams, including IT professionals, clinicians, administrators and vendors, to support EHR initiatives and projects, facilitating communication and coordination.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes and procedures, and establish knowledge‑sharing practices to ensure availability and accessibility of critical information.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior analysts and end‑users, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance team capabilities and promote continuous learning.
General Responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 3–5 years of applicable IT or healthcare experience required. Epic Implementation experience preferred.
  • Epic "Beaker" certification or accreditation required; multiple Epic certifications preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within teams.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and understand customer needs.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare business processes and technology.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and terminology.
  • Cross‑application integration knowledge.
  • Strong desktop tool usage:
    Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
