The Technology Integration Specialist provides leadership, support, and management for district educational technology systems, digital learning initiatives, instructional technology integration, and technology-related professional learning. This position collaborates with district administrators, teachers, instructional staff, information technology personnel, and vendors to ensure the effective implementation, support, and continuous improvement of technology resources that enhance teaching, learning, and operational efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Educational Technology Systems Administration
- Administer and support district learning management systems, digital learning platforms, educational software, and related instructional technology systems.
- Manage user access, system configurations, integrations, data synchronization, and platform functionality.
- Coordinate annual system setup, maintenance, updates, and operational readiness activities.
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and troubleshoot technical problems in collaboration with internal staff and external vendors.
- Evaluate, configure, and implement new technology features, enhancements, and tools that support district instructional and operational goals.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, and support resources.
- Digital Learning and Curriculum Support
- Support the implementation, integration, and effective use of digital curriculum resources and instructional technologies.
- Collaborate with curriculum and instructional staff to ensure digital tools align with district teaching and learning initiatives.
- Assist with the deployment and maintenance of digital curriculum integrations and related instructional resources.
- Provide instructional and technical support to district staff regarding educational technology systems, resources, and best practices.
- Create and maintain training materials, user guides, videos, and support documentation for technology resources and digital learning platforms.
- Student Information and Data Systems Support
- Support district systems related to student information, academic records, grading, rostering, authentication, and instructional data.
- Assist staff with system processes, troubleshooting, user access, and data accuracy.
- Collaborate with district departments to maintain system integrity, data consistency, and operational effectiveness.
- Support integrations and data exchanges between instructional, operational, and student information systems.
- Technology Planning, Implementation, and Project Management
- Lead and support district technology implementations, pilot programs, and system improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate planning, communication, deployment, training, and support activities related to technology projects.
- Conduct needs assessments and evaluate technology solutions to support instructional and operational objectives.
- Monitor project outcomes and recommend improvements based on stakeholder feedback, performance metrics, and data analysis.
- Develop communication plans, implementation timelines, and support resources for district technology initiatives.
- Software Evaluation, Compliance, and Resource Management
- Review, evaluate, and recommend educational technology resources, software applications, and digital services.
- Support compliance with district policies, privacy requirements, licensing agreements, accessibility standards, and applicable regulations.
- Assist with software inventory management, licensing, vendor relationships, contract renewals, and resource utilization analysis.
- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to educational technology and digital learning.
- Technical Support and Collaboration
- Develop and maintain knowledge base articles, user guides, troubleshooting resources, and support documentation.
- Collaborate with technology staff, school personnel, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve services.
- Provide technical assistance through remote and on-site support as needed.
- Maintain technology-related communication channels, websites, support portals, and informational resources.
