Data Engineer

The You Version Data Engineer will develop and build data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) that lead to increased engagement and growth through the Bible App across the globe. The You Version Data Engineer role will work across technical teams within the organization, including but not limited to Cyber Security, Core Services and Software Engineers on Product teams. The Data Engineer will be responsible for driving data awareness and providing the analytics teams with actionable data.

This role will utilize systems-thinking, will require broad technical experience, and an eye for efficiency to aid in delivering the You Version strategy.

• Drive data awareness and provide the analytics teams with trends and actionable recommendations/information.
• Collaborate with platform and product teams to ensure all relevant data is being collected.

• Align data needs to business objectives, formulate a data roadmap.
• Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
• Planning, building, and delivering highly reliable ETL processes.
• Planning, building, and developing real-time analytics through data pipelines.

• Manage user events in the You Version bible app to bring our data governance to the next level.
• Engage as an active contributor within our agile development process.
• Take ownership of projects and oversee them with minimal direction.
• Manage schedules and duties to efficiently meet the needs of the organization in the pursuit of leading others to become fully devoted follower of Christ.

• Experience~ 3-5 years of related work experience.
• Education~ Bachelor’s degree + advanced certification.
• Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions and problem solve with innovation.
