Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
Position Details:Minimum Qualifications:
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure. - Licensure:
Personal responsibility to obtain and maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state and meet all State Board of Nursing requirements. - Experience:
Can be new or experienced LPN. - Certifications:
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of a course within 30 days of hire. Additional unit- or position-specific certifications may be required, including ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., Six Assessment & Care Modules, or other certifications as required. - Physical Requirements/Demands:
Stand/Walk most of the time on duty; significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds.

IV Certification within 1 year of hire.
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
