Based on bill rate at the time of posting; bill rates may change frequently and without notice. Exact pay package may vary based on guaranteed hours, distance traveled, and customizations available for travelers.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
  • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders on assigned patients.
  • Assist physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
  • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe the physiological manifestations of patients and intervene when necessary.
  • Administer medication as prescribed. Initiate, regulate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
  • Deliver patient care competently.
  • Interact with family and patient in sharing care plan while in the hospital and at time of discharge.
  • Inform patient and family of hospital procedures.
  • Make referral regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
  • Delegate tasks to support staff.
General Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
  • Experience:

    N/A
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
  • Some computer skills.
Education
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s)
  • Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
  • Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
  • ACLS (American Heart Association) required within 6 months of hire.
