Based on bill rate at the time of posting; bill rates may change frequently and without notice. Exact pay package may vary based on guaranteed hours, distance traveled, and customizations available for travelers.
Essential Responsibilities- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders on assigned patients.
- Assist physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe the physiological manifestations of patients and intervene when necessary.
- Administer medication as prescribed. Initiate, regulate and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver patient care competently.
- Interact with family and patient in sharing care plan while in the hospital and at time of discharge.
- Inform patient and family of hospital procedures.
- Make referral regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience:
N/A - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Some computer skills.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
- Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program preferred.
- Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
- Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
- ACLS (American Heart Association) required within 6 months of hire.
