Job Overview
The Retail Service Specialist will support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This position will also assume shift management responsibilities in the absence of an Assistant or Store Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, including team member execution on programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.
- Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
- Process all buy online/ship to store, hub to store, and store to store transfers, as well as DC add orders, in a timely manner and notify customers of shipment arrivals.
- Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and in accordance with procedures, using the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
- Process customer returns and exchanges efficiently and courteously; issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods and stage returned merchandise in the returns area.
- Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before the product leaves the store.
- Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks, ensuring completion as assigned.
- Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule; obtain management approval for changes or deviations, and enforce proper clock‑in/out procedures per company policy.
- Perform all store opening and closing duties, including day‑end procedures, securing money and deposits, preparing bank deposits, turning on night‑security lights, locking doors and securing the building, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles in the designated area.
- Execute any other duties as assigned.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
- Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
- Knowledge of automotive systems and repair.
- A.S.E. Certification.
