Standup Forklift Operator

Job Description

Job Summary:

As a Standup Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a standup forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.

Your role is crucial in maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring that inventory is handled with care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Standup Forklift:
  Safely operate a standup forklift to transport materials to and from storage areas, production areas, and loading docks.
• Load and Unload:
  Load and unload goods from trucks or containers, ensuring proper handling and placement.
• Inventory Management:
  Assist with inventory control by accurately moving, stacking, and counting products. Report any discrepancies or damage.
• Safety Compliance:
  Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct pre-shift inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance issues.
• Documentation:
  Maintain accurate records of materials moved and inventory levels. Complete required paperwork and data entry tasks.
• Housekeeping:
  Keep the work area clean and organized. Ensure that all materials are stored in their designated locations.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with warehouse team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and resolve any issues that arise.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  
  Previous experience operating a standup forklift or similar equipment is preferred but not required.
• Certification:
  Valid forklift operator certification preferred. Training may be provided.
• Skills:
  
  Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and excellent hand-eye coordination. Basic math skills and the ability to use a computer for inventory management.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to [50] pounds), stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions (e.g., cold, hot, or humid).
• Safety:
  Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety regulations and procedures.

Work Environment:

• Warehouse or industrial setting.
• May involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and potential hazards associated with a warehouse environment.

Temp to Perm $18.00 to $20.00 and up DOE Shift is Mon-Thurs 5 am-3:30 pm
