One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning of Edmond–NWOKC is a locally owned and operated HVAC company backed by a nationally recognized brand with strong marketing, training, and operational support.

We’re looking for a dependable HVAC professional who takes pride in doing the job right the first time, communicates honestly with customers, and consistently puts their needs first. The HVAC Service Technician performs maintenance, diagnosis, service, and repair of residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The technician will also educate customers about repair options, system improvements, and available products and services based on their individual needs.

This position is paid an hourly wage plus commission.

• Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Evaluate the overall condition and performance of HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot system malfunctions and determine the repairs needed to restore safe, reliable operation.
• Clearly explain findings and appropriate options to customers without using high-pressure sales tactics.
• Recommend products and services that genuinely benefit the customer.
• Complete work accurately, professionally, and efficiently.
• Maintain a neat work area and leave each customer’s home as clean as it was upon arrival.
• Wear floor savers and follow all company standards while inside a customer’s home.
• Maintain a professional, safety-conscious attitude while working and driving.
• Keep the assigned company vehicle clean, organized, stocked, and presentable.
• Arrive on time and communicate promptly when circumstances affect the schedule.
• Accurately complete invoices, service documentation, and other required paperwork.

• Valid Oklahoma HVAC Journeyman license.
• Strong HVAC diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to clearly present repair and replacement options to customers.
• Strong customer-service and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Dependable, professional, and punctual.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• NATE certification is preferred but not required.

The right candidate is honest, dependable, coachable, and confident working with customers. You should be comfortable recommending solutions and asking for the work, but you must always place the customer’s best interests ahead of making a sale. We believe long-term success is built through trust, quality workmanship, and doing what we say we will do. Technicians are expected to own and maintain the standard personal hand tools and diagnostic tools commonly used by an experienced HVAC service technician.

Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
