Three opportunities have arisen to work within the Housing Solutions team at the City of Lincoln Council, as a Homelessness Officer.
In this role, you will work proactively with individuals and families to help support them in their homelessness journey and adhere to legislative guidance as well as policy and procedures set out for you to conduct your role effectively.
The postholder will work with a combination of remote and office-based working, with the occasional external visit.
Key responsibilities:- Provide an efficient and effective service to families and individuals who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.
- Advise and assist in the administration of the Housing Register.
- Effectively manage a caseload of housing advice and homelessness prevention cases.
- Working knowledge of homelessness legislation.
- Ability to determine priorities and work to deadlines.
- Ability to work and think creatively.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office proficiently
- Ability to handle conflict and manage relationships effectively.
- Ability to successfully negotiate.
