Overview

About The Position:
This is an advanced-level position with management skills required, responsible for assisting the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional in the daily functions of all golf operations. The Golf Operations team at Rose Creek shares in all aspects of the operation, but each member of the team has a part of the operation to manage.

This position offers a unique opportunity to grow as a golf professional and develop a wide range of skills, from golf instruction to managing golf shop operations. You will gain exposure to all facets of the business, and as a member of a dynamic team, you will have the chance to contribute innovative ideas to enhance the club's golf offerings. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow both personally and professionally in a supportive environment.

Some areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

Tournament Management

Organizing and conducting member and non-member tournaments. Working directly with the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional to ensure all tournaments are executed in a first-class manner to ensure tournament groups are 100% satisfied.

Outside Services

Managing and overseeing an Outside Services Team of approximately 20 employees. Ensuring proper onboarding, training, and management of this team, while fostering an environment of upscale hospitality for our members and guests. Overseeing proper cart fleet management and maintenance as additional tasks.

On-Course Assistants

Assisting in the on-course experience for our members and guests, which includes the oversight of our on-course player assistants, pace of play management, and positive guest engagement.

Golf Shop Administration

Supporting all golf shop activities. Ensuring proper check-in and fee collection from members and guests. Answering phone calls and giving consistent and accurate communication. Aiding in the daily management of the golf shop inventory and retail merchandise operation.

Our Team

Our Golf Professional Staff consists of Director of Golf Brent Thaxton, PGA, Head Golf Professional Colton Conrady, PGA, two (2) Assistant Golf Professionals, and 1 Golf Shop Associate. Our Outside Services team consists of approximately 20 employees.

Experience Required

About The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess the qualities listed below and more. Strong communication skills and a service-minded and hospitality driven mindset are essential to being successful in this role.

  • PGA or LPGA or Professional Golf Management program and have completed PGA Level 2 or higher is preferred. Level 1 graduates will be considered for a reduced role.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Management experience and experience in leading teams.
  • Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess strong computer and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in operating golf-related systems such as Golf Genius tournament software, GHIN handicap software, Visage golf car GPS software, and point of sale/tee time software.
  • Experienced in tournament operations.
  • Experienced in running and growing WGA and/or MGA leagues.
  • Experienced in running and growing Junior Golf programs.
  • A proven track record of golf instruction to players of all abilities.
  • Ability and willingness to operate in a high paced and busy environment with composure and competency.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional in the daily golf operations.
  • Initiate and promote golf activities for Rose Creek members.
  • Directly manage and oversee the Outside Services staff and the Starters/Marshals.
  • Generate ideas for improving overall standards for the operation.
  • Lead and grow an active and growing Women's Golf Association.
  • Support and contribute to an active and growing junior golf program.
  • Assist with physical retail inventory counts and reporting.
  • Attend company required trainings
