Job Description

We’re looking for experienced, professional drivers who share our commitment to people, partners, and the planet. Traveling to locations along your assigned route, you will be responsible for packing, transporting, and properly disposing of waste material in accordance with our environmentally responsible policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
  • Pick up and transport waste safely in accordance with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Label containers and complete pre‑printed manifests/work orders. Schedule shipments into or out of the site.
  • Classify, segregate, and inventory waste containers in storage for shipment. Perform lab pack operations—pack small laboratory containers of chemical waste into larger containers for shipment.
  • Process and prepare Universal Hazardous Waste manifests, bills of lading, and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs) for hazardous waste shipment in accordance with state, EPA, and DOT regulations.
  • Provide services related to hazardous and non‑hazardous waste removal from customer sites.
  • Perform various regulatory compliance and safety tasks, including pre‑trip inspections of vehicles, reporting all losses, spills, accidents, and safety violations to the supervisor immediately, and resolving leaking or non‑compliant containers.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with all levels of customers daily, delivering, promoting, and collecting waste containers.
  • Perform warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of waste materials, including loading, unloading, moving, or storing items per delivery or routing documents or supervisor instructions, and performing general housekeeping.
  • Operate a hand truck, forklift, or other heavy equipment as required.
  • Occasional overnights may be required.
  • Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • CDL Class B
  • Haz Mat Endorsement
  • Tanker Endorsement
  • Valid Driver License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong working knowledge of environmental, regulatory, and DOT rules and regulations.
  • Some college education or experience in the waste industry.
  • Knowledge of computer software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Maintains a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).
