CDL Driver
It is the goal of the CDL driver to move, transport, deliver and pick-up goods as directed by the transportation management, to maintain at all times the safe operation of any and all vehicles, while always ensuring that all loads that are being transported are securely strapped & loaded. The CDL driver must possess a working knowledge of the established DOT regulations, and must adhere to all requirements of the state, local and federal laws.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Transports material, merchandise and/or equipment between various locations.
- Load or unload truck, perform routine inspections and light maintenance to maintain vehicle in satisfactory operating condition.
- Requires Commercial Driver's License.
- Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality at assigned work location.
- Drives within the Oklahoma City metro area and/or statewide, typically with a single destination to load/unload material.
Competencies to perform this job successfully include the following (knowledge, skill, and abilities required to perform the job):
- CDL class A license with zero points
- Able to transport material, merchandise and/or equipment between various locations
- Able to load or unload a truck and stock merchandise
- Able to operate all vehicles including 18-wheel, Van, Flatbed, and Gooseneck
- Self-motivated and good organizational skills
- Good communication skills
Education and/or experience:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- 1-2 years CDL experience
- Current Class A CDL license
Preferred:
- Forklift certification

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne contaminants, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Work environment is not climate-controlled. The noise level may exceed permissible exposure limit and hearing protection may be required. Mechanical equipment and moving objects.
Position type/expected hours of work:
Full-Time.
Work schedule:
Monday through Thursday, 5:00AM – 3:30PM. May require overtime based on business needs.
Travel:
Daily travel will be required.

This position is a safety-sensitive position as defined in the Pelco Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy and 63 Okla. Stat. § 427.8(K)(1).
