Kid Strong Edmonds is looking for enthusiastic professionals who can coach children and engage parents to make a positive impact.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
ScheduleClasses run weekdays 9:00 am – 11:00 am and 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and weekends 8:00 am – 3:30 pm. A flexible schedule is available depending on center needs, with additional hours possible through private party coaching.
Responsibilities- Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children ranging from 12 months to 11 years old.
- Teach the Kid Strong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team.
- Ensure classes start and finish on schedule and maintain the appropriate pace of the curriculum.
- Greet students and parents/guardians individually before class begins.
- Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor while leading class.
- Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises.
- Ensure cleanliness of the center.
- Use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records to parents (attendance, awards, etc.).
- Communicate professionally with co‑workers.
- Complete required trainings.
- Perform in a physically intensive environment, including moving equipment up to 25 pounds and covering multiple miles during a shift.
- Work hands‑on with kids to ensure proper technique and student safety.
- Assist parents of students age 3 and younger with class direction and flow.
- Attend monthly center staff programming meetings and additional mandatory staff meetings as required by Kid Strong Management.
- (Optional) Learn and manage Coach Kid Strong Camp special classes during school breaks.
- Passion for working with children (non‑negotiable).
- Prior experience coaching children within the Kid Strong age range preferred.
- Prior experience speaking to and educating parents about the Kid Strong curriculum.
- Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics (not required).
- CPR certified.
- Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Self‑starter who gets the job done.
- Comfortable in the spotlight (optional).
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but includes mentoring and requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Sphere of InteractionCoaches work closely with center leadership, families, and members of the HQ team.
