PositionInformation
The Food Service Worker position performs a variety of functions related to the breakfast and/or lunch meal services in Edmonds School District Kitchens. This position sets up, serves and cleans up after school meals. This position also maintains records for the school kitchen including temperature logs, food production records and student meal accounts.
Shift Details2 hours a day; 180 day calendar; shift hours are 11:15am-1:15pm
Continuing PositionEmployees have reasonable assurance of continued employment to the following school year. However, an employee's total work hours, work locations, and the designated beginning and ending times may vary.
FLSA StatusNon-Exempt
Hourly Rate$24.76 per hour. Additional step increases from $24.76 to $26.06, dependent on employer-approved training. Food Service Salary Schedule) [Effective Sep. 1, 2026: $25.46 per hour]

Required Qualifications- Food Handlers Permit
- National School Lunch Programs are federally funded and require food service workers to attend a minimum of 6 hours of annual paid training (provided by the school district).
- Certification through the school nutrition association is optional to receive annual stipend per CBA.
