Job Title:
Part-Time Homeschool Teacher & Nanny (PDA Profile)
We seek an educator to support our creative 12‑year‑old in a hybrid parent‑partnership school program. He loves building hands‑on projects (like mechanical costumes). We prioritize life skills and emotional regulation. He has a PDA autism profile; we use a low‑demand, relationship‑first approach (no ABA).
Key Duties- Collaborate on a Student Learning Plan that prioritizes his pacing, mental health, and building projects over strict assignment completion.
- Weave academics into his crafting interests.
- Provide weekly on‑site school support and childcare.
- Certified Teacher preferred, ideally with a background in Special Education, neurodivergent support, or progressive education.
- Deep understanding of autism/high‑anxiety profiles. Must favor connection over compliance and use declarative language.
- Complete comfort pivoting mid‑lesson to co‑regulate or build.
