Job DescriptionThis is a 6.5 hour per day, 180 days per year, Para educator position with benefits at Serene Lake Elementary School. Anticipated start date is as soon as possible.
Hours for this position are 8:30 a.m.
- 3:45 p.m. (Includes 15 minutes of unpaid time)
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the classroom teacher to support students with challenging behaviors. Responsibilities will include providing student supervision and assisting with small-group academic instruction and support.
Minimum Qualifications: Basic WA State Para qualifications and experience working with children.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an elementary school. Experience working with small groups of elementary students including ML learners or students with an IEP. Experience with supervising students on the playground as before/after school.
