Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Newborn care.
Float required as needed.

Current compact license or applicable state license.
Certifications:
AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP, ACLS.
Must-Have:
Previous charge experience is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with electronic charting systems, specifically Epic.
Description:
The role involves providing care in the Labor and Delivery unit.
Responsibilities include handling patient diagnoses related to Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn.
Candidates must be skilled in procedures such as vaginal delivery, cesarean delivery, circulating in the operating room, starting adult IVs, and administering blood and blood products.
Knowledge in the use of epidural pumps and PCA pumps is also required.
Knowledge of administering insulin and magnesium sulfate is important.
Experience in couplet care is preferred.
The nursing staff ratio is typically 1:1 to 1:3.
Candidates should have experience with high-risk antepartum and L&D cases.
Ability to assist with high-risk deliveries and to recover patients after C-sections is necessary.
A strong background in sterile vaginal exam practices and pain assessment and management is also required.
Successful candidates will demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
Any individual who has previously worked in any affiliated facility must have a minimum separation period to qualify for this position.
Candidates should be prepared for personal commitments that may impact compliance before the start date.
This position requires reliable transportation and may involve weekends and on-call requirements.
