Job Summary
Medical Assistant / MA-C – Primary Care Clinic, Swedish Medical Group (SMG), Edmonds, WA. You will support the delivery of cost‑effective, clinically competent, reliable health‑care by performing administrative and clinical duties under the delegation of a licensed practitioner. Your role includes scheduling, updating patient information in EPIC, taking vital signs, and other patient‑care tasks. This position offers clear pathways for career advancement within the SMG network.
Responsibilities- Schedule patient appointments and update medical charts in EPIC.
- Take patients’ vital signs and record them accurately.
- Assist with clinical tasks such as administering injections, medication administration, and other duties as directed by the licensed practitioner.
- Perform administrative tasks related to patient care and clinic operations.
- Follow all SMG policies, procedures, and regulations in providing patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited medical‑assistant school with hands‑on clinical training.
- Graduate of a registered medical‑assistant apprenticeship program.
- Minimum two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces.
- Minimum one year of medical‑assistant work experience, including vital signs, injections, and medication administration.
- Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification within 30 days of hire.
- At least 6 months of healthcare experience.
- At least 6 months of medical‑assistant experience.
- National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
