Northpoint Recovery Holdings, LLC, established in 2009, is a behavioral healthcare treatment platform that provides services for adults with substance use disorder and co‑occurring conditions, as well as adolescents with mental health conditions. The company serves patients with commercial health insurance in an in‑network model.
Position SummaryThe Intern works under the direction of counseling staff, leadership, and a multidisciplinary team to gain relevant skills in counseling, case management, and the delivery of services to patients at Northpoint.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties- Facilitate education and process groups under counseling staff direction.
- Complete documentation in a timely manner as required by policies and procedures.
- Assist with patient interventions and retention.
- Complete biopsychosocial histories and treatment plans under clinical leadership guidance.
- Engage in individual and family counseling under supervision of clinical leadership.
- Maintain professional boundaries with patients at all times.
- Oversee and participate in quality assurance and compliance activities of the facility.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and standards of care.
- Perform other clinically appropriate services and special projects as assigned.
- Must be pursuing relevant licensure in the state where services are rendered to meet the standards at the time of hire and throughout employment.
- Must be at least twenty‑one (21) years of age.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a relevant field.
- Ability to work with a diverse population and possess strong interpersonal skills for interacting with patients.
- Must hold strong personal boundaries and be able to build rapport with patients.
- Must understand and adhere to the ethical standards of the governing licensure board.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Patient service oriented, both internally and externally.
- Creative and persistent problem solver.
- Able to handle confidential material reliably.
- Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all organizational levels.

- Ability to multi‑task and prioritize workload in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems.
- Completion of a tuberculin screening during the first week of employment.
- Completion of a pre‑employment drug screening, post‑accident screening, and screening upon reasonable suspicion of use.
- Completion of new employee orientation and required paperwork prior to reporting to work, including acknowledgment of all company policies.
- Demonstrated computer literacy.
- Completion of CPR/First Aid training within the first 90 days of employment.
- Attendance at all mandatory staff development and training.
- Completion of background and professional reference checks.
Compensation: $1 - $1 USD
