Northpoint Washington (Adult inpatient in Edmonds, WA)
Work Hours:
Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday 9:00 am – 9:30 pm;
Thursday, Friday, & Saturday 6:00 am – 6:30 pm
Compensation: $22 – $24.50 per hour
Position SummaryThe Recovery Technician attends to the safety and well‑being of patients and works with a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide the best possible care. The role supports programming, implements care plans and promotes a structured milieu through appropriate resource allocation and supervision.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties- Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to clinical staff
- Follow reporting and communication guidelines when interacting with staff and patients
- Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, including daily logs and forms
- Maintain daily schedules and structure around transport times, meal times, transition times, and other non‑programming activities
- Function as a member of the treatment team by conducting patient observation rounds and monitoring patient activities and behaviors during the shift
- Attend and promote recreational outings and activities, encouraging pro‑social and coping skills
- Ensure a positive, supportive, and structured environment, proactively responding to patient needs to improve outcomes
- Maintain facility cleanliness and upkeep under leadership direction
- Assist patients with their needs and collaborate with onsite clinical and medical staff as necessary
- Facilitate and assist with selected activity and education group sessions, documenting accurately according to policy
- Oversee safe and efficient transport of patients to and from the facility
- Assist in orientation of new admissions
- Use therapeutic communication skills and maintain professional boundaries with patients and families
- Model professional attitude, language, and communication to foster a positive culture
- Assist with treatment planning and discharge planning
- Document client care and behavior as required by policy and procedure
- Utilize de‑escalation skills when dealing with volatile clients to maintain personal and client safety
- Assist counseling and administrative staff in responding to emergency situations
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with policy and care standards
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned
- Minimum age 21 years
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience
- Strong English usage, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to implement and interpret program goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
- Strong personal boundaries and rapport‑building skills with patients
- Knowledge of local geography for efficient routing
- Organizational and prioritization skills to balance competing demands
- Proficiency in competency areas including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
