Job Title: Inpatient Clinical Supervisor
Reports To: Clinical Director
Location: Northpoint Washington (Adult inpatient in Edmonds, WA)
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 8:30am-5pm
Compensation: $85,/year
As a key member of the Northpoint team, the Clinical Supervisor will oversee the therapeutic services provided to patients. They will provide clinical supervision to staff seeking endorsement, including clinical consultation and administrative tasks, review and sign‑off on chart documentation, organize and provide clinical trainings (including CEU approval and certificates), and lead the maintenance of a healthy and ethical clinical environment for clients and team members.
The Clinical Supervisor will also perform counselor duties, provide direct care to patients, and communicate with support staff, treatment teams, and outside agencies regarding treatment and safety issues. All documentation related to these duties will be completed professionally and promptly.
- Provide counseling, assessments, and group facilitation to individuals and families.
- Ensure all counseling staff operate within competent parameters and maintain required education.
- Audit charts for policy and procedure compliance, appropriate documentation, and completion of internal paperwork.
- Assist and resource the clinical team with ongoing CEU requirements.
- Create and deliver clinical competency trainings as needed.
- Monitor and supervise incoming interns from various universities.
- Consult with the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide quality patient care.
- Collaborate with assigned patients in the development of written treatment plans, involving patients and families in assessment, treatment, education, and discharge planning.
- Monitor patients continuously to assess needs and facilitate treatment and interventions.
- Document clinical assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, diagnostic summaries, and progress charting in a timely manner to ensure comprehensive and quality patient care.
- Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and maintain effective working relationships with employees and peers.
- Maintain professional boundaries with patients at all times.
- Oversee and participate in the facility’s quality assurance and compliance activities.
- Provide clinical updates to utilization review and managed‑care representatives to coordinate reimbursement of treatment services.
- Coordinate with community‑based providers and referral sources to ensure optimal care and outcomes post‑discharge.
- Provide case staffing and individual case supervision.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Perform other clinically appropriate services and special projects as assigned.
- Master’s Degree in Mental Health, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Active substance use and/or mental health licensure in the state where services are rendered.
- Continuously maintain applicable state licensure requirements for the duration of employment.
- 3+ years of experience in a relevant field.
- Ability to work with a diverse population and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong personal boundaries and ability to build rapport with patients.
- Understanding of and adherence to the ethical standards of the governing licensure board.
