Non-Certified Surgical Technician - Operating Room

Description

Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technologist participates as a member of the perioperative nursing team and performs indirect perioperative tasks for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients who are having surgical and surgical endoscopy procedures. The Surgical Technologist may be assigned to transport patients, second assist and serve as a technical expert for a surgical service.

• Assist in perioperative care under RN supervision and perform indirect perioperative tasks for patients across the lifespan.
• Transport patients as needed, provide second assisting, and serve as a technical expert for the surgical service.

• Graduation from a surgical technology program.
• Washington Surgical Technologist Registration (upon hire).
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (upon hire).
• Prior experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care facility.

• Certified Surgical Technologist (upon hire).
