Edmonds Endoscopy Center has an immediate need for a full‑time Insurance Verification Specialist
. At Edmonds Endoscopy Center
, we offer our patients complete care of the digestive system, from evaluation to treatment, including endoscopy procedures.
- Verify patient insurance coverage by contacting insurance companies via phone, online portals, or other established methods.
- Obtain and document accurate insurance information, including policy numbers, coverage dates, and pre‑authorization requirements.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of insurance verifications for each patient.
- Update electronic health records (EHR) and relevant databases with verified insurance information.
- Operate the telephone system, receive incoming messages, and direct calls to the appropriate destination.
- Ensure all required forms are placed in designated areas of the patient’s chart.
- Prepare charts for the next day's surgeries within the required deadline.
- Admit patients, process paperwork, and collect deposits or fee payments.
- Interact appropriately and effectively with patients and others.
Monday – Friday daytime work hours.
LocationThis position is in the office in Edmonds, WA, and may need to cover our two other locations in Kirkland and Seattle.

Starting pay range: $21.30 – $25.00/hour, depending on experience.
Required Skills- High School Diploma or GED
- Insurance verification experience in a medical setting is required
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and insurance providers
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other relevant software
